Democratic Primaries
In reply to the discussion: Hypothetical: If Biden dies of coronavirus, what should happen to the primary? [View all]Hortensis
(58,785 posts)46. As Magistrate says. It wouldn't be Sanders, not because he's hated,
though many do blame him for 2016 and everything since, but because liberal Democrats are committed to liberal Democratic principles and goals.
We really do have liberal Democratic principles and progressive goals. We are believers!
With Biden alive or dead, we will elect a good Democrat who shares those beliefs and represents our wishes. It's that simple.
Of course, WE WOULD ALSO NOT ALLOW this hostile outlier who's proud of not being a liberal Democrat to destroy/take over the liberal Democratic Party, in spite of the best efforts of enemies on both right and left and overseas. It's also that simple, but secondary to who and what we are.

primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

Ain't gonna happen. Biden is fit as a fiddle, and access to some excellent health care.

I think that after his behavior, most Democrats would not tolerate Senator Sanders. n/t.

I hope Biden's campaign team are also going on a plan B - if he has to go up against Pence. nt
