4. Have you check your eyes?

I have kidney issues and type II diabetes and had a scare six or seven years ago when the eye doctor found some leakage in one eye due to Actos. Since this scare and two rounds of injections into the eyeball, the eye doctor told me that I have stabilized and that if there was kidney damage due to the diabetes, it would show up in the eye exam. My renal doctor confirmed this. My renal doctor thinks that my damage may have been due to NSIDs. My kidney function has been stable for the last 5 or 6 years. I have been avoiding nsids during this period.

Again, if diabetes is the reason for your kidney damage, then this would probably show up in a good eye exam and scan

Good luck.
