5. Yep, I've lived in red red red states and there were some very good people there. So many states

get a bad rap because of loud assholes there and generally the idiots some elect into office for some bizarre reason, and often because of gerrymandering. I also know some republicans in those states and they could not be nicer people, and they don't like what the republican party stands for, but somehow, in some twisted way, think the republicans are protecting their money. Some people think democrats are going to take their guns away, but for these individuals it's not that, they fear democrats are going to take all of their money away.

In the US today people are very mobile, so often many people end up in red areas because their job took them there. That happened to me twice, but I made some good friends there, and a number of them moderate republicans.
