2. You would think that by 2022, "people" would understand that someone different than they are

is not an "other"; they're just not exactly like you whether it be because of skin color, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity or whatever. Besides, what concern is it to them whether the student is a boy or girl? That person is a human being and should be respected as such.
