...energy in science fiction than in science.

The Chernobyl Exclusion zone is teeming with life; with some of the species there being endangered outside the zone, but not in it.

These include Przewalski’s horses and the European Bison known as the Wisent which was once extinct in the wild with the entire population being in captivity.
