3. I love old union workers

The ones who know what it means. I worked for a gas/electric utility. For a few years, we had to keep trucker logs, until Michigan gave us an emergency vehicle waiver. I was really glad to get that waiver. But yeah, if you wanted to make a lot of cash, just follow all the rules, and they fill your pockets. I took extra on-call, volunteered for out-of-town assignments, worked all holidays... on-call weeks in the winter, you could easily hit 90 or 100 hours, sleep was hard to come by. After 37 years, I decided it was a young man's game, I retired in 2023. I miss it, but I really was afraid of falling asleep during a 2am callout. More power to you, I love reading your stories.
