I see low income housing open up and it is life changing for some people. The problem is we don't have enough. I don't know what will break the ice jam of high shelter costs, but something has to give. Tax breaks don't lower the cost of rent. Greedflation has taken over. When housing costs are approaching median income, there is a problem. Social media has been a vessel used by landlords and it should be eliminated. It allows them to price fix. The formula for estimating real estate values needs to change. Income reporting for the greed lord's needs to be tracked as well. If we can't fundamentally change how we do business, then we need to add an investor tax to the mix. You pay a city, state, and county tax if you don't reside in any of them. Absent investors don't care about our communities.
