Man accused of driving into strip club said his name is 'Shadow' [View all]
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WWMT) — The man police accused of driving a pickup into a strip club refused to appear for his arraignment in district court Monday afternoon.
Kalamazoo County District Court employees said Ryan Neubauer, 36, told jail staff his name was "Shadow" and refused to interact with jail and mental health staff leading up to his virtual arraignment.
Neubauer is charged with malicious destruction of property exceeding $20,000, according to court records. Neubauer faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
Neubauer remains lodged in the Kalamazoo County Jail. Judge Christopher Haenicke delayed the arraignment until Wednesday morning.
