be generated by anyone, often in under 10 seconds, typically with at least a few different options created by the AI for the AI user to choose from, and typically with the AI continuing to offer different options it's generated from the same prompt, if the user doesn't like any of the first options offered by the software.

Tengr.ai probably, like most AI image generators, was trained on a dataset of stolen images, taken without permission and used without compensation. The professional artists I've been hearing from on Twitter believe those image generators should be destroyed by what's called disgorgement.

The companies behind the AI image generators could of course have used only images in the public domain, or asked for permission to use the images in their training data, and paid for them if the artist requested payment. They chose not to.
