That when being sarcastic, the sarcasm smilie is a must unless you're known here for your sarcasm. Most of us will get it, but some of us won't and you're a newbie so we don't know you well enough to know your personality.
Additionally, Israel/Palestine and war is a subject that doesn't lend itself to levity here; that it's even being discussed outside it's restricted, moderated group is due to the ongoing war.
