17. Technically, we need MORE of the people who voted for Biden

and sat 2024 out. It may be the case since 2016, that the party in power loses its least committed supporters. Then given a nearly 50/50 divide, power goes to the other side.

A better reason for welcoming any leaving Trump is that the hatred and division is a bad idea on both sides. We should not demonize regular people swept up by MAGA.

Coming from a large, liberal, accepting family and currently living in Burlington VT, I only interact with a small number of Republicans, much less MAGA. The very few I encounter in VT public spaces are not inherently evil, though they repeat the lies they have accepted.

We should NOT abandon any of our beliefs or values, but we should model civility to them. Emulating their rejection of half the country (us) makes things worse not better.

Yes, I know that it is easier to say and do that living in my deep blue bobble. One other thought, didn't we do this in 2024, even at our convention and big joint events with Liz Cheney?

They didn't figure shit out in 2016, 2018, 2020, 2022, or 2024, but NOW they have buyer's remorse? Fuck them. Celerity 23 hrs ago #1
We can't afford to. The tipping point won't be reached without them. artemisia1 23 hrs ago #2
Plenty of non voters to recruit, their numbers are FAR larger than remorseful MAGAts Celerity 23 hrs ago #3
Remorseful MAGA's have a track record of VOTING. artemisia1 23 hrs ago #4
Yes, voting for a death cult. I trust them as far as I toss this one: Celerity 22 hrs ago #5

They are non-voters, because they don't give a shit. We can't change that. Walleye 21 hrs ago #14
Of course we can. It is easier to get a non voter to vote (and vote D) than it is to get a MAGAt to flip to D. Celerity 18 hrs ago #19
I hope you are right about this Walleye 18 hrs ago #21
A good start would be to purge all No Labels Problem Solvers influence within the Democratic party/elected members. Celerity 17 hrs ago #22

That is sophistry. I never said I wouldn't accept their vote. nt Celerity 18 hrs ago #20

I hope that trickles down the ticket. You can't regret your vote for the man and also vote for people that enable him In It to Win It 22 hrs ago #8
