New details have emerged in the shooting death of Alex Pretti, including statements from witnesses who confirm being arrested or cursed at. And, justice department attorneys are threatening a mass exodus due to the illegitimate way the Renee Good and Alex Pretti cases are being handled.

1. Violent Thugs Want Surrender and Endorsement

MAGAt politicians want ethical people out of their way, so I wonder about the tactic of high-level attorneys resigning in protest perhaps to be replaced by MAGA loyalists. Maybe remain on the job, collect a government paycheck, and simultaneously, ethically protest by dragging your feet?

Remain in that powerful legal position to block efforts by Republicans to MAGAtize that lawyer job?

Fleeing to private practice instead of standing up as an officer of the court is not a choice I would make, but I’m not in their shoes. I just read and hear of resignations and not (yet) one lawyer publicly stating he/she will stay on the job despite being pressured to perform unethical and perhaps illegal actions.

Stand up for the law and profession as an outsider sees it.
