Dan Bongino gets humiliation he deserves - Another Day - Brian Tyler Cohen

BTC: Dan Bongino is back to pretending he cares about the release of the Epstein Files. This is just another day.

As the saying goes, if you love someone, set them free. For if they return, they were always yours. But it turns out even if you don't love someone, there's a good chance they'll come back anyway to get rich by pedaling lies and conspiracy theories.

(cut to video)
Bongino: Like you say, I think it's just good to be uh back on the other side. I really (Podcaster interrupts: Yeah, man). And I used to once in a blue moon I would just pop by and drive by the studio and I would be envious of of you. Look at that chat, man. You guys, I missed you guys so much. You have no idea.

(cut to studio)
BTC: I think they have some idea considering you, the truth and justice crusader, left your job less than a year into the gig. Yep. Dan Bongino, or what it would look like if HGH was a human, the right-wing podcaster who spent multiple years and thousands of hours enriching himself by vowing to get the Epstein files released, is back on the air after not doing that.

Nine months as the deputy director of the FBI. Nine months. Which means that if you and your partner decided to have a baby on the day Dan Bongino took the oath of office today, you two would have a very odd fetish. But a reinvigorated Bongino is back and he's here to set the record straight.

(cut to video)
Bongino: The timeline was always for me to do the first year and help the Trump administration with my law enforcement background.

(cut to studio)
BTC: Yes, that is why the administration hired you. It wasn't because you were a loyal MAGA darling who'd taken up permanent residence inside the president's colon. It's because no one had better law enforcement background than you. In the same way, no one had more legal experience than this guy {Patel}. No one had more military experience than this guy {Hegseth}. And no one had more experience in homeland security than this person {Yosemite Sam}. Sorry, wrong photo. This person {Noem}.

But while Dan may no longer be serving at the pleasure of the president, he still looks back on that time with pleasure.

(cut to video)
Bongino: I tell you, it was the honor of a lifetime to work for him. He is just the guy is just a get it done. No bullshit like go get the other bad guys and I just it I'm telling you, man, it's like working for the Lone Ranger. It was awesome.

(cut to studio)
BTC: Totally like working for the Lone Ranger, except instead of getting the bad guys, your Lone Ranger tried to protect them. Also, unlike that Lone Ranger, your guy is more inclined to deport Tanto than actually work alongside him. But besides that, exactly the same.

And one of the major benefits of moving on from a job where you've made good on absolutely none of your promises is the emotional release that you feel.

(cut to video)
Bongino: It was kind of hard to stay quiet, but I'm not quiet anymore.

(cut to studio)
BTC: Yeah, finally the shackles of power have been removed and you can go back to claiming how rigged and corrupt the system that you were at the top of totally is. But I think we can all agree that one of the biggest questions people have, I mean, besides why Dan Bongino decided to protect everyone involved in one of the biggest sex trafficking operations in our nation's history, is did he have a good time?

(cut to video)
Bongino: Yeah, I loved it. I had a blast, man. It's It's hard not to working for this president um and this VP. It's They just move quick. I I mean, at a speed I've never seen in government. They just don't take no for an answer.

(cut to studio)
BTC: Oh, I think the public was well aware of that already. {graphic displayed stating “Jury finds Trump liable for sexual abuse, awards accuser $5M}

And now that his tenure at the FBI is in Dan's rearview mirror, one can only wonder if he's happy with where things stand at the agency.

(cut to video)
Podcaster: Do you feel like how the FBI is right now? Do you feel comfortable stepping away and knowing that it's good?
Bongino: Well, I wouldn't say anything's ever good.

(cut to studio)
BTC: I agree. In fact, I might even say that things are currently not good. Some might even use the term terrible, embarrassing, or the institutional equivalent of Steven Miller's spray-on hairpiece. But I guess imagining that someone so determined to serve their country would stay on the job slightly longer than a rookie waiter shift at Applebee's was merely a fool's errand.

(cut to video)
Bongino: Of course, it's always tough to walk away, but I was never going to be the long-term uh solution there. I was in there um you know to be uh to be the hammered.

(cut to studio)
BTC: And boy did he bring the hammer down.

(cut to video)
Scripps News Host: It's been nearly 3 weeks since the Justice Department was required by law to turn over all documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation. Some of the documents were released, but most were not.
Scripps News Reporter: We are now learning that we have really just seen a fraction of the documents that we are supposed to have already received. That number is at 1%.

(cut to studio)
BTC: Dan Bongino is patting himself on the back for doing 1% of what he promised, which is kind of like a contractor promising you the greatest kitchen renovation you've ever seen and then expecting you to be elated when he does none of it, but hands you a brand new spatula.

The reality is Bongino spent years staking his entire brand on being a champion for transparency. He was America's trustworthy savior who, if given a chance, would root out corruption at the highest levels. Sure, the world may have taken his hair, but they could never take his burning desire to avenge Jeffrey Epstein's victims. No matter how hard the deep state would try, Bongino would not rest until anyone and everyone involved in Epstein's horrific crimes or the cover up that came after was exposed and brought to justice.

(cut to multiple video snips)
Bongino: 1) You wondering why we're not hearing more about this Epstein case? 2) I can't emphasize to you enough this Epstein thing is more than there's more than meets the eye there. I know a lot of people want to make this thing go away. 3) And what the hell are they hiding with Jeffrey Epstein? 4) Why do they want to make this Jeffrey Epstein story go away so bad?

(cut to studio)
BTC: I mean, for God's sakes, Bongino talked about the Epstein files more than women talk about Heated Rivalry. The man was relentless.

(cut to multiple video snips)
Bongino: 1) The Epstein client list, I believe, based on what I've heard from sources. 2) is going to rock the political world. There's a reason they're hiding it 3) because it speaks to an enormous problem we have in this in this country. It is that there is a connected class of insiders that feel that they can get away with anything because they can.

(cut to studio)
BTC: Yes. a connected class of insiders who feel that they can get away with anything. You know, like making millions off the backs of everyday Americans by creating a media empire whose entire foundation is not only rooted in the spread of conspiracy theories and falsehoods that included the Mueller investigation, the COVID-19 pandemic, and Trump's 2020 election loss, but also uses his massive platform to generate immense wealth by painting himself as America's real-world Batman, only to infiltrate the enemy compound, come back looking like the Joker, and then attempt to continue his money-making crusade for justice.

In what world is Dan Bongino allowed to be a credible voice anymore? What warrants this victory lap where he's allowed to continue to criticize supposed other grifters?

(cut to video)
Bongino: You know, when you read the media spin, but you actually see from the inside what's happening. However bad you think the left-wing grifters in the media are, Haley, I promise you they're 10 times worse.

(cut to studio)
BTC: My dude, you were number two at the FBI and basically took a number two on everyone that put their faith in you. Bongino had that job for months and what does he have to show for it? Less than 1% of the Epstein files have been released. Not a single co-conspirator has been revealed, much less prosecuted and his boss, who shows up in the Epstein files more often than Matt Gaetz shows up at high school volleyball games, isn't being held accountable for anything.

Bongino didn't root out corruption, infiltrate the Deep State, or bring about justice in any way, shape, or form. All he did was add his name to the list of people from this administration who are willing to put the protection of pedophiles over bringing closure to the victims. Actually, that's not entirely true. If I'm being fair, Bongino did express one single truth.

(cut to video)
Bongino: There is a connected class of insiders that feel that they can get away with anything because they can.

(cut to studio)
BTC: Exactly.
