In Chile, flying robots use artificial intelligence and machine learning to detect ripe apples before pulling the fruit from the tree.

Fruit picking would be a horrible job. Reaching a quota and piecework up on a ladder. Most manual machining has been replaced with CNC which is definitely safer for the operators. Manual form grinding in Tool and Die has been replaced with CNC grinders or wire EDM. Less scrap more quality and productivity. i have seen all of it since 1979.
