The Social Security Administration is considering drastic new anti-fraud measures that could disrupt benefit payments to millions of Americans, according to an internal memo first obtained by the political newsletter Popular Information. The changes would force millions of customers to file claims in person at a field office rather than over the phone.

1. I can't imagine how my family would have dealt with this

They're all gone now, but were all on Medicare, Medicaid, and SSI. My Dad and oldest sister were both in wheelchairs, my other sister was blind, my Mom had Alzheimers.

How will it be more efficient to pay for transportation, (my oldest sister, a double amputee, usually traveled by ambulance to her appointments.)
