Related: About this forumWhere do any of you growers get your seeds?
I have always grown bag seed in the past, had some great luck with some of them.
I ordered some seeds from Humboldt Seeds in Cali. They didn't grow that well, any clones turned male.
Not hermaphrodite but, full blown males. I suspect they bred them that way on purpose so you can't clone them.

(17,752 posts)But try great lakes genetics. They have a broad selection and I never had an issue with anything I bought from them.
Germ rates were excellent and never had issues cloning.

(18,541 posts)as all product must be sealed..altho my provider said there is one store in the state that sells clones but thats a hundred miles away. We are the only state that doesnt allow home grown unless you have a med card. I am allowed to grow up to 15 plants. What do you pay at your dispensary for the seeds?

(7,653 posts)Dispensaries around here sell clones for like $10-$20 each, depending on factors like the source, strain, availability, etc. I think seeds are like $5-$10 each, but honestly I never buy anything from over-priced dispensaries... A friend with weed is a friend indeed!
Most growers I know, myself included, keep one or more "mother" plants in perpetual veg to harvest clones from. We often trade strains among ourselves. It's super easy if you have a closet or separate space for it, and not too expensive if you use cool and efficient CFL bulbs.

(30,800 posts)They are out of Amsterdam and guarantee the seeds germination and receipt. They have great product. I tried Seed Connect in the U.S., but the quality was hit and miss (mostly miss) and they didn't always ship what you ordered. ILGM offers a 10% discount for bitcoin.

https://www.cropkingseeds.com/feminized-seeds/#also https://royalkingseeds.com/ I never ordered from Royal King, but I think they are connected with Crop King.
Edited to add that I just now placed a cash order with Royal King, and they are out of San Diego, California.

(18,541 posts)10 years ago. Ive got a hydro grow box and sometimes they are great plants and sometime not. I finally ordered 10 feminized sativa seeds from somewhere and half of them are growing. I paid 10$ a seed and that was half price! I also bought 10 bag seeds (reg 10$ a seed but half price at 5$..FOR ONE POT SEED) but they are pedigree so I want to pop five and let them have at each other ( supposed to be 50% male in the bag) so I can have something new to smoke and replenish my seeds that have been inbreeding for years ( until I perfected my male plant spotting skills).
I was surprised we could mail order seeds..it was a little scary. Before rec pot was legal in Wash State I could go into my med store and buy a 6 inch plant for 10$.
Ive never cloned. My grow box has a cloning side but Ive never used it. Has anyone here successfully cloned? Can I have a lesson?

(9,848 posts)People don't realize they will go to flower if they have under 12 hrs of light. Lots of cloning kits on Amazon.

(35,062 posts)to clone. Feminized plants are what you want. Using a straight edge razor blade cut a branch off the mother plant, then scrape the sides of the stem to rough it up. I dip the stem immediately into Clonex Rooting Gel and then plant the cutting into a small seed starting pot. Keep your cuttings under 24 hour light and keep the soil moist. I spray the leaves with water everyday. It can take up to a couple weeks before you see roots. Once you see roots, replant the clones into bigger pots. I think one of the easiest strains to clone is White Widow.
I also read where honey is also a good alternative for Clonex Rooting Gel, but I never tried it.
