My phone lock screen is a short video of President Zelenskyy doing his version, before he became president of Ukraine.

When I was in graduate school I worked in a Korean grocery store. I made friends with a Korean artist who was the daughter of the owners.

One of my other college jobs, I had five, was as a figure model for the University Drawing Club. One of her drawings of me won her an award. It was done in charcoal and she used a single line to capture my pose in its entirety.

I was in a reclined pose at the time and not doing the fast moving contrapposto gesture modeling that was my usual. That day, I was on the chaise so long, being perfectly still, my arms and parts of my lower legs went numb.

Once the forty-five minute session was over, I remember having to take some time to be able to stand safely.
