Michigan and NJ lead the list, with 305,320 and 124,350 out of power.
Shows the county, too, and in my county 6,500+ are without power.
Yesterday, a thread was posted telling about how PGE was having trouble meeting demand and they were asking us to set our thermostats at a higher setting. I took mine from 73 to 80 and with a fan, I was almost as comfortable as a lower setting.

(83 posts)Don't bother Google-Image-Searching for a (colorized map legend) like I foolishly did.
Simply click on the 'Link' at the lower-left side of the graphic and be taken to Power Outage Dot Com where you'll find a clever interactive map wherein a click on an area details the electrical power outage (for that specific area).

Link that says over 100,000 Jersey residents are out of power.
Right now I am waiting to go out, but I can see a storm is imminent. There is no way I would be out after the storm I experienced last night.

(16,116 posts)During a violent thunderstorm, a bright flash of lightening had an almost instantaneous piercing crack of thunder. At that moment, our power went out.
Com Ed confirmed we are one of 17 residences that lost power. No word yet when we might get it back.
