Rosie: APR 10 Trump lied about Tariffs paused, markets down until he leaves...w/comments

Yesterday trump made a false claim that he had paused when the tariffs have not been paused at all. [is she referring to China? I think so, because of something she says later in the reading.]

Wall St. acting accordingly.

The goal is destruction and chaos. He knows exactly what it is doing. It's different now, I think, than the first uh presidency because now I think both his situation in some ways is a lot worse in terms of the risk of him going to prison (A) and then two and (B) it's about destruction.

Their dream is to destroy the American economy and put crypto in place I'm not exaggerating. [referring to Peter Thiel and JD Vance].

[Here is the part where she refers to China; I'm only including the essentials because she goes on about this at some length, mostly referring to the fact that we're a consumer economy and so much of our purchases are made in China.] (People ask) are your predictions different and I said no--he has not paused it--he actually increased tariffs on China which is so the China thing guys is the biggest deal.

We are at a point where where uh Rand Paul is going against Trump. Rand Paul has been hardcore libertarian. I was surprised to be honest because he loves Russia.

The American economy is 60% consumer. It's moved by consumers,. Consumer products are basically pretty much all made in China.

Vietnam is picking the slack from that but not enough.

Then Rosie tells a story about how tariffs are assessed, at least in the UK. Long story short, over there when you get the item, you have to pay the tariff separately. She used an example of a $100 item and the tariff came to an additional $15. Nobody wants to pay it.

[She goes on at length about how the tech bros want to go to crypto-currency. ]

She goes on about how the pump and dumps will go on for some time.

She then cites some charts that analyze [I saw them, too], that show 30-40" prior to his announcement that there was a lot of movement in the market.

One final thing she sees is that as this market manipulation goes on, trump looks for the exit, but it is closed. Military or feds hone in on him.

He's going to try to have American troops go defend Russia--literally, to defend it from Ukraine.
