Related: About this forumIt's middle March and I've inadvertently driven over at least 100 potholes.
Do you think I should bring in my car to have the struts, balance, and alignment checked?

(54,970 posts)2. for me it would depend on how old the tires are
I 4 wheel align with new tires. The cost of balancing, rebalancing, rotating, aligning exceeds replacing the tires 10,000 miles early.
With stone chip roads, aka stone seal - tar with rough stone on top, the 40k tires wear out around 30-32k. So that's a consideration too, you may not have stone chipped roads.

my favorite to bicycle on....
The concept works reasonably well for cars but the looser stuff gets swept into the bike lane areas where it doesn't get packed in by the weight of the vehicle. Once on a road I had to stop every mile and pull the stones from between my brakes and tire.
