I'll tell you one thing. It will be a whole lot cheaper and easier to repair all of the physical damage done by Iran than it will be to repair the damage done by Trump to US relations with the countries who were our friends.

Once trust is broken it takes a very long to repair.
But it will never be the same.

Now, by closing the Strait of Hormuz, Iran has a chance to turn the tables on the US and do something similar.
If you look at the effects of US embargoes it is always the poorest half of society who suffer the most. I doubt that it will be any different here.
