Related: About this forumI passed on going to a cocktail party the other night
My wife's ex-boss started a Thursday night cocktail party. It's going to be a regular thing. I passed. When my wife came home 5 hours later, she was a bit tipsy (although she probably wouldn't admit it). I'm glad I skipped it. There's nothing more boring than being around a bunch of drunks. Sometimes I miss drinking, but it's occasions like this where I'm happy I no longer drink.

But it was less than a mile away. And she's very cautious.
