"The Man in the High Castle," current Netflix binge. Velshi Banned Book Club featured the Philip K. Dick book recently.

Dark alternative reality--the USA lost WW2, and Nazis and Japan run America. Scary, compelling.

Of note, the boo focused solely on the Japanese angle. The Smith character and his effect was a creation of the TV series and a great one at that. My only complaints were the rushed ending and that the actor playing Heydrich looked nothing like him.
