Job hunting not going great, so I need to read more in this forum

Love getting my ALDI shop on, find things to do low-cost and free.

Hopefully I can land something soon (been looking since August).

Please keep us updated!

You never know when the somebody-who-knows-somebody-who knows-somebody strategy might pay off.

Have you made a list of all your skills and talents (or as many as come to mind)? Could you become a professional assistant to some busy person who could use some help? Any friends who might have insider knowledge on some company’s expansion plans? What kinds of leads might there be, that could use your kind of thinking? Could you tutor? Could you coach? Could you offer errand-running?

Or: what skills or good habits could you offer on a volunteer basis? That often leads to more work.

I’m just kicking some ideas around, but I’m also hoping something might ring a bell that could lead you somewhere good. And spread the word. Friends can be good resources!

I've tried applying in my current line of work, and also some I had worked in before for a return.

Volunteering could be a good idea, even if it doesn't lead to work, it's new contacts made.

I've also been looking at Upwork, no jobs won yet but still learning how to best use it.

CONNECTIONS!

You get enough good ones going, and it will inevitably lead to something you need (or want).

Throw those seeds out and about! It’s inevitable that at least one or two will find good ground to land on/in, and maybe even start taking root.

That way we can keep sending encouragement and good vibes.

You’re GONNA land something.
