Quote for the Day:
In the end, Musk cursed the Cybertruck by ignoring the reasons people buy pickup trucks to haul things around and drive well in offroad conditions. The vehicle isnt competent at either of those things, as has been endlessly documented in scathing reviews, a steady stream of Cybertruck fail videos and a 280,000-member CyberStuck Subreddit. Adding to the embarrassment is a developing sub-genre of videos showing stymied Cybertrucks being towed to safety by Ford F-150s or GM Silverados.

(18,156 posts)Unexpected minor household emergency last night.
Looks like we're getting a bounce today? Well, we had one for a while yesterday, too, so I guess it just goes to show that the stock market isn't the economy; it's a sporting event.

(49,956 posts)I covered shorts yesterday on the open, a moment of luck because it just bounced at support for an hour. Today, short again but 15 points higher, prob close before the close. Mutual funds beat up. We will have inflation but not for the stated reasons of tariffs, supply chain, materials shortages. It's because of labor shortages. We're exporting labor, and not being compensated for it with tariff money. We have to pay them to accept the policy. Bad deal for us, but stupid is stupid. So we will have inflation because of shortages and labor shortages. Too few goods, too much money including crypto which is created 5x faster than the Fed can do it. In fact the Fed doesn't know what to do about crypto. Trump will appoint a Crypto Bro as the next Fed Chief. Then we'll really have financial inflation.
Be of good cheer! Everything is being destroyed including your currency, spending power, food supply, safety.
