to Sector 001 for his consideration and caring attention to the needs of the Linux users here. Without his PSA's how would we poor unfortunate Linux users ever know to update our systems when issues like this arise.

So this exploit has already been fixed. I just updated one of my systems with the fix. It took about 10 minutes start to finish.

Here is a useful information article on the fixes for this exploit that Sector neglec........ er forgot to mention.
