Mixed precipitation to continue through this morning before switching to rain

As expected, we are starting off our day with active weather in Western Wisconsin as a large shield of mixed precipitation continues to advance northward across the Upper Midwest. So far this morning, sleet, freezing rain, and rain have mostly been reported in the area, with light icing occurring in Eau Claire. All of this activity stems from a strong and messy spring storm in the Central Plains that will slowly trek northeastward through the day.

Ice is an issue here also--no cars on the roads --which is good--ice is horrible for driving

It mainly looks like sleet and rain, but I see some ice here and there so that is an issue.
I have already warned my buddy in Buffalo.... incoming!

That is the usual winter precipitation there. It can be managed only with extreme care and skill.
And, as we here all know, most drivers do not have it.
