Recount confirms Whitnall School Board member Jason Craig was ousted in the April 1 election
A Whitnall School Board member's request for a recount of the April 1 election ended up with the same result: with him still losing his seat, although by a slightly wider margin.
Incumbent Jason Craig filed the recount petition April 9. After the April 11 recount, results showed Craig had lost six votes and his seat on the board. Challenger Alicia Shaw won the seat, although with three fewer votes.
Here's what to know about the recount.
On April 1, four candidates — Craig, Shaw, Joseph Hurkman and incumbent Karen Mikolainis — were running for two open seats.
