Maria Walls (R) announces re-election campaign for Beaufort County treasurer
BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) — Beaufort County Treasurer Maria Walls announced Thursday she will seek re-election.
Walls highlighted more than a decade of results improving financial management, customer service and innovation in local government under her leadership.
“People deserve a government that works well and respects their tax dollars,” said Walls. “Too often the stereotype is that government can’t change — but in Beaufort County we’ve proven that it can.”
Walls has served 15 years in the Treasurer’s Office and is both a certified public accountant and senior certified human resources professional. She is a longtime Beaufort County resident.
