Benefit for Families Impacted by ICE Jan. 11
Posted: January 7, 2026
When ICE detains someone, the hurt extends beyond the person detained. If their family doesnt lose their total source of income, they lose half of their income. Even worse is the trauma inflicted in their children and the community. Children stop going to school and businesses dont have customers when their customers stay home. Please join us for a benefit concert and silent auction to help families of ICE detainees. If you would like to donate online to this cause, go to the UUCS donation page , find Make a One Time Donation, then choose Other- please specify and write a note specifying Benefit for Families Impacted by ICE Detentions.
When: 2-5 pm, Sunday January 11, 2026
Where: Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Salem 5090 Center St. NE, Salem Oregon
Suggested donation: $20
Featuring:
Ukulele Jo-Jos great Harmonies of the 60s and 70s accompanied by Ukuleles
Flo and Marcia Music with a message
Celtic Magic A new take on Celtic music with ukulele, violin, and guitar.
Justice Choir An acapella group singing songs of social justice
All contributions will be allocated directly to the Seeds of Change dedicated fund for the support of families affected by ICE detainments.
