WEA-backed candidates win school board election
WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - Three new members and an incumbent were elected to the Williston Basin School District, according to unofficial results.
Jeremy Brenner, Brittany Kilgore and Samuel Johnson secured seats with more than 870 votes. Kaite Zufelt, the fourth-place candidate, finished with 610.
Brenner, Kilgore, and Johnson were all endorsed by the Williston Education Association.
Meanwhile, write-in candidate Annette Sluder defeated Dennis Nehring for the vacant rural seat by more than 500 votes. Sluder was also endorsed by WEA.
