Shadow Tails * Her History with Democratic Underground * Chapter 7 *
"Are you taking my picture AGAIN?"
"Oh alright. Go ahead, if you must."
"I'll even smile. There, how's that?"
New Year's Day did not excite Shadow. She just lay on the bed.
Next day snow arrived. Shadow has loved snow ever since well, forever.
The second day of 2026 found her outside. In the snowfall.
She likes to lower her head and scoop it up, swallowing snow-lumps.
One day at the old farm Shadow came home with a stuffed
Bunny Rabbit in her mouth. No idea where she got it.
After dinner she approached dad at the computer.
Getting her subtle hint, he moved to the living room. Shadow followed.
She was teased thoroughly,
After which she headed for the bedroom, allowing Bunny to sit for a photo,
Shadow plopped on our bed for a bit,
then ended January Second snug as a bug in a dog-bed rug.

Shadow often helps pre-clean dinner pans, casseroles, skillets etc.
She steadies them and goes to work with her super-tongue.
One dinner was served in the pork roast gravy dish.
It was a very good dinner treat.
And of course, after a good meal a dog needs two things ~
a drink of water
and a nap.
