I was overly concerned with getting as much of that green on the water as possible, this works well

I did a search of colorful birds and that came up. I'm curious because I've never seen one.

Capturing them with such vibrancy and clarity looks easier than I bet it is. Nice collection of woodpecker species.

it was a “thing” to catch these. They were called Tpops.
A neighbor in the city - New Orleans - had one in a horrible bamboo cage.
I worked at a public aquarium with a huge Amazon exhibit. I told her I could release the bird there and it would be happier. She somehow agreed, and as soon as she left I let that bird out the back door, and there are good lies, y’all.

That is a stunning photo, he's a beautiful little guy, and the color is reflected in the water he's having a fun splashy bath. This must be your lucky day to happen upon this colorful bird, of all the birds out there, and get such a great pic of him.
