Related: About this forumTonight, my husband and I celebrated our 60th Wedding Anniversary!
We had an amazing dinner at Eddie V's, a high-end restaurant nearby. The food is abundant and super good! Our server recognized us from last year and was very nimble. The place is pricey, but you get your money's worth!
Hope you enjoy the photos:

(255 posts)Dear Peggy,
I am so very happy for the both of you! Sixty Years of Love! Congratulations! Fantastic photos and loving smiles, what could be better?
Since I'm not adept with posting images or videos on this site, here are two songs that really stand out when I think about your Happy 60th Anniversary. The Righteous Brothers, "Unchained Melody" (1965) and The Lovin' Spoonful, "Do You Believe In Magic?" (1965). So, I think to myself, "I wonder if Peggy and Her husband danced to these the year they got married?". The thought warms my heart. I believe in magic and I believe time can do so much especially when there is love!
May You Both Be Healthy, Safe and Happy! (We already know you're loved!)

(38,030 posts)You both look wonderful! And what a beautiful setting. Sixty years deserves a special dinner, pricey or no. Is that some kind of fish you had? And a flambé dessert of some kind? Looks fabulous!
Happy, happy anniversary!

(154,801 posts)But here are a few details:
60 years ago, I was 21. Now I'm 81!
The pink drink was nonalcoholic and absolutely delicious! Some sort of lemonade concoction, I believe.
My fish dish was petrale sole and incredibly good.
My husband says he's the lucky one, but I tell him I'm the lucky one!
We cannot imagine being married to anyone else!
The dessert was a banana/brownie mix, with a flaming liquor of some sort, and of course, delicious as well as eyecatching!
I'm going to give each one of you a rec on your post, to let you know I read it and loved it
The honor is mine and I feel so damn lucky to be a member of DU for 20 years! It's an astonishing thing.
I LOVE YOU ALL!
