I couldn't take it anymore and bolted. The lead guitarist quit too & the soundman went with me.
I did enjoy doing this song, but those guys sacked the fun out of it.

(76,132 posts)That band was on a run of almost 120 gigs a year for over 2 years but $12-15 hundred a night.
We took a month off to churn the songlist & add THREE originals.
We took an opening act gig just to play those 10 or so new songs.
After a month of rehearsals the drummer & bass player could not remember any of the new songs!
We ended up playing the same material as before but for $250, not $1,500. And, we were 50% of ourselves, even on songs we should have been able to do in our sleep.
I quit the next day.
