(55,579 posts)Wikipedia page and saw, for instance, that they had help from Mick Ronson and Ian Hunter and Stevie Van Zandt on their second album (the third video you posted), which got rave reviews, but it didn't make the Top 200.

The one thing I can think of that might have held them back was reminding people of Springsteen. The same thing that held John Cafferty back until his band did the soundtrack for Eddie and the Cruisers.
I did some googling, couldn't find anything about mismanagement possibly having hurt them. Checked Steve Hoffman's music forum and saw them mentioned a number of times. I didn't see any TV appearances or music videos on YouTube, though, and that would have hurt them in the '80s.
