The first FM station I listened to was WSDM, Chicago.
They were notable because all the DJs were women.
They later became WLUP, which was Chicago's rock station for many, many years.

tower on my house with a rotator. I looked forward all week to a great simulcast on Saturday nights. The PBS stations like WTTW out of Chicago used to do great performances of orchestras as well. WGBH out of Boston was a big major producer and the others carried the broadcast as part of the whole "network" of Public Radio/Public Television stations.
