Farewell, Tom Robbins: K.D. Lang from the soundtrack of Even Cowgirls Get the Blues
An imperfect movie, but Lang's soundtrack stands alone.
One of my favorite authors, Robbins died yesterday at the age of 92. After reading Another Roadside Attraction, I was hooked on his trippy storytelling. The last Tom Robbins book I bought and read was Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates. After that I lost track of him and was sad to learn this morning that he'd died.
