Off a more obscure album (Low).
That's Earl Slick with the bleached blond hair.
One interesting thing I noted I'd that Earl & Mark Plati are both playing Gibson Firebirds, but Earl has a reverse model. I admit I don't get why. The Firebird is a cool shape. The reverse looks like a bad Jazzmaster!
BTW: Earl is a nice Italian boy. His actual name is Madeloni!

this song about 35 minutes in.

And it occurred to me then that I couldn't recall anyone ever posting it here...and a search of this forum all the way back to 2011 didn't turn it up, either. Other than as part of the complete Montreux concert, which I'd posted here with the setlist (in the Lounge, too, IIRC).

So....

Link to that interview, which I have not yet listened to in its entirety because I'm following so much political news:

bleached hair is Gerry Leonard (Bowie introduces him at the end of Always Crashing). Here's an interview Gerry did shortly after Bowie's death: https://www.vulture.com/2016/01/bowie-guitarist-gerry-leonard-on-his-final-years.html

Earl Slick and Mark Plati (Mark wearing his usual bandana) are easier to see at about 20 minutes into the video below (at the start of a great Pixies cover). And Bowie had introduced Earl at about 7:25.

(August 2002, as the descrption of the video below explains; the video title has the year wrong). Better lighting than at Montreux.
