The DU Lounge

Two shots to get the party started. Now, a Waldorf cocktail. Bourbon, sweet vermouth, Pernod, and angostura bitters. I dont have Pernod, so I substituted absinthe.
Its okay. Dont think Ill mix one again. Anise is not my favorite flavoring agent.
Still, buzzing pleasantly now. Busy week. Looking forward to the weekend.
I love you all
Raising a glass to my old friend ailsa girl, whom I have not seen in months. Hope shes all right.

(72,781 posts)I used to hang out in the bar at our local Greek restaurant. I knew the owner, and he would often come out of the kitchen to do a couple of shots with me. He was very, very Old World. We would clink glasses and he would say: Heres to you, my boy.
He retired a number of years ago. I miss him dreadfully, as you may imagine.
