In the early 1970s what's-your-sign days, we were least-appreciated - no, not whining or poor-mouthing here - just reporting reactions: That we were "mushy, 'sensitive', weak-tea, moody. Not like all those other signs of smartness, toughness, flash and dash.
Regardless of KRASNOV 50 years later, the times have a bit of edges sanded off - there's a word for that?

*** And at this late date, am still checking with BROMPTON (yes, in the execrable NY Post), because of Regis PHILBIN! Back in those days, the gossip staff were actual reporters (the only Lib Liz SMITH, and wingnuts Cindy ADAMS, Richard JOHNSON). So BROMPTON still credited with a byline, but after all these years is she still actually doing it?
