3. Missed your post. My "lazy boy" method is postimages.org. Imgur looks almost identical.

I go there, select whether to resize the image or not, (I ask "650 by 480 for message boards" for really large images, )

then drag and drop my file to the web page, and select "Dirsct Link".

That works great with DU. Fewest steps.

Imgur.com looks to be about the same.
