I read on Bluesky that one theater had to stop a showing of the movie, no one was in the theater!

(5,622 posts)I no longer go to theaters either. I prefer closed captions, rewinding to see interesting scenes, and being able to pause when I need to visit the toilet, or when I need a refill on my snacks.
Also, people in theaters are noisy, rude, and talk loudly (to each other an on their phones). It's a shame.

My DVD player and big-screen TV are simply better.

(994 posts)Can't remember the last time we went to a movie--probably before Covid! We wait for movies to come out on video and check them out from the library.

(36,808 posts)Sorry, but even as a kid I was annoyed that folks (or cute animals) were talking and then suddenly bursting into song. Who does that?
The only two musicals I could ever tolerate were "Rocky Horror" and "Tommy."
