Updates on my wife and her now new life here in the US after the Green Card.
We're approaching one year in the US (April 4th). Some good, a little not so good.
1: She is going home to visit family soon. She hasn't seen them in over a year and a half and I am telling her she needs to go visit. Plan is for her to leave for a month mid april or mid may.
2: Her Chinese BA has been turned into an American BA with an equivalency service, as has her teaching certification. She now has an American BA in Economics with a major in Finance and a minor in Art Appreciation. She now has a PK3 certification meaning she is certified to teach PK to 3rd grade.
3: One of her students showed her American racism full front when he told one of his classmates he wasn't going to his birthday party because he was "chocolate brown." The boy is four years old, so we know were these ideas come from. But here in ruby read Western PA, what else do you expect?
4: We are now 18 months from the first opportunity to go for her citizenship. We are weighing the options.
5: I'm about to take over two businesses after moving into our home, so money issues readjusting to the move back here are gone.
6: We just got our first of three four legged barking fur people, an eight month old Maremma Sheepdog named Belle (think of it as a smaller version of a Great Pyrenees). Stubborn as the day is long, but extremely protective and learns fast. In two weeks, it's learned its name, sit, come, no, and how to walk on leash.
7: She watched my parents and me watch the SOTU and saw socks get thrown at the TV and a lot of "what the fuck is this asshole talking about?" She has come to the realization (finally) that Trump and Xi are two sides of the same coin. We gave her a short political quiz of questions on things she believed in and (shocking), she's a moonbat like my mother.
8: I am in talks with a production company in LA to be brought in as a songwriter. I have two VERY high up A-listers supporting me after meeting them from a mutual friends while marketing my work one time when I was in LA meeting my old manager that I fired for trying to get with, then insulting my wife when she told him she thought he was disgusting.
