but I do understand the sentiment.

When I was growing up, almost ever day my mother would make a dozen flour tortillas (or more)...and her mother, my abuela, used to make corn tortillas from SCRATCH!..and I do mean from scratch. She hand milled the corn and made her own masa and a touch of fresh lime juice....best damned corn tortillas I've ever eaten....nothing comes anywhere close!

2. Lucky you. When I grew up there were only corn tortilla and they are the real ones for me. I hate flour.

3. When i was young we had no tortillas

We subsisted on matzo and mazola margarine.

Sometimes we would put peanut butter on the matzo, or maybe cream cheese if it was available.
