Stay well, and get it checked out as soon as possible.

but I'm still a nurse and I agree with Aristus.
Even if we are wrong, I am sure he will agree with me that your condition is serious and could quickly become worse if not treated.
Follow his instruction and be seen as soon as you can.

6. Have you been checked out for lymphedema?

I'm asking b/c I was recently diagnosed. My swelling isn't as bad as yours (so far), and I'm able to control it at this point with compression stockings, but I learned that many (most) docs are not familiar with the condition. My prior cardiologist also had me scanned for clots, which ... like you ... turned up negative. He never mentioned lymphedema ... neither did my primary care doc. He left town, and my new cardiologist diagnosed lymphedema right away. 'If' that's what's going on, it's important to get it under control ASAP.

If it turns out that's what's going on, you can get a lot of information and support ... as well as resources to find docs who know about this ... at the Lymphatic Education and Research Network (LE&RN).

https://lymphaticnetwork.org/

If you are referred to a therapist, it's important to consult a CLT-LANA credentialed specialist, rather than a generic physical therapist.

I don't mean to get in your business, but this is fresh in my mind, so I thought I'd share. I guess if I were in your shoes, I'd call my doc first thing Monday morning and get them to rule out lymphedema, just to get that off the table.

Best of luck, Debm ... sending you good vibes!

You might also try some kind of cold packs on your leg, if you can stand the cold. I hope you can use a nice comfy pillow under your head. And place a nice water bottle within reach? I am not a doctor or nurse, but my husband had a swollen leg from an accident, and all this helped him. Also, place your phone within reach. We are all praying for you and ROOTING for you in this time of trial! May you receive swift and effective treatment early tomorrow!

This swelling sounds like something that you really should seek medical attention for as soon as possible.

Wishing you the best of luck and good thoughts.

I've been through something very similar in the not-too distant past. Know that you are going to be OK. They will get to the bottom of it
tomorrow. I'm sure you will end up in bed at home with your leg elevated, both asleep and awake & meds to take.
Fond wishes for a speedy recovery!
