The Borowitz Report: Joe Manchin Cedes Title of Most Despised Democrat in History to John Fetterman

When I retired from the Senate, I thought that my record for being the most deeply reviled member of the Democratic Party was safe, Manchin said. Clearly, I was mistaken.
For fourteen years, every morning Id wake up and say, How can I be an irritating assclown today? the West Virginian added. But Fetterman takes it to a new level.
For his part, Fetterman was visibly moved by Manchins tribute, telling reporters, When I came to the Senate I never dreamt I could be more obnoxious than a legendary jagoff like Joe. Im truly humbled by this honor.
Props to Andy Borowitz for his correct usage of "legendary jagoff" ... it demonstrates his working knowledge of Pittsburghese.

(1,539 posts)Manchin at least had the excuse of representing a deep red state of religious ignorant hillbillies. Sinema and her performative curtsy antics was just despicable.
Edited to add: I am from WV. I know whereof I speak but I realize that not all West Virginians are racist religious ignorant hillbillies but currently they are a minority of the state population.

(42,335 posts)Nowadays, he's just spouting Chump's agenda to anyone who will listen.
I live in Pittsburgh and I can remember the days - not too long ago - when Fetterman was a progressive Democrat. But that all changed after his election to the Senate and by then he had suffered the stroke. My personal thought is that Chump is blackmailing Fetterman with threats to deport his wife and her family. (There's no direct proof but it's highly suspicious.)
