Trump says Epstein poached young women from Mar-a-Lago. That raises new questions about what he knew.

(CNN) President Donald Trump wants to move on from his administration’s fiasco over the Jeffrey Epstein files, but he keeps hampering that effort by opening his mouth.

The most recent instance has to do with precisely why the two men had a falling out about two decades ago.

Trump acknowledged on Tuesday that the employees who he said Monday that Epstein poached from him, triggering their breakup, were young women who worked in the spa at his Mar-a-Lago club.

“The answer is yes, they were,” he told reporters on Air Force One while traveling back from Scotland.

Krasnov probably offered her up to Epstein.

Krasnov's falling out with Epstein was over a real estate transaction, was over money.

Trump and Epstein were best friends is the bottom line.

It's said that after the real estate deal (which Trump won, to Epstein's disgust ... While Epstein bid up the property, to Trump's revulsion) they had their real rupture.

But it's also said that before that Trump banned Epstein from Mar-A-Lago because Epstein was, and I quote, "a creep." However, away from MAL they still interacted until the real estate clash.

Nuance.

Employees, who by virtue of their young age, couldn’t have worked at Mar-a-Lago very long and could presumably be easily replaced. Aren’t there long lines of people wanting to work at an awesome place like MAL? (sarcasm)

He’s got no anger that Epstein was recruiting minors for sex trafficking?

And oh, by the way, why in the world did Trump hire girls under the age of 18 to work in the spa at MAL??? If what you’re looking for is a legit massage to loosen up the muscles, someone older/larger/trained and certified is what a premier resort would hire. The type of premier resort Trump pretends he runs.

you still don’t want underage girls running around where wealthy men accustomed to having anything they want, anytime they want are walking around wearing only a towel.

If the customers are pervs, they’ll quickly come up with ideas that are a) illegal b) harmful to your staff and c) puts the spa in a lot of legal liability. If the customers are not pervs, I think it would make them very uncomfortable to have underage girls working there.

but then I saw this eye-popping quote from “a source at Mar-a-Lago” in a story from 2007:

https://www.democraticunderground.com/10143503895#post7

Meanwhile, the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach last night confirmed a Web site report that Epstein has been banned there. “He would use the spa to try to procure girls. But one of them, a masseuse about 18 years old, he tried to get her to do things,” a source told us. “Her father found out about it and went absolutely ape-[bleep]. Epstein’s not allowed back.” Epstein denies he is banned from Mar-a-Lago and says, in fact, he was recently invited to an event there.

https://pagesix.com/2007/10/15/sex-case-victims-lining-up/

Basically the same exact story Trump just peddled, but using the word masseuse. Also using the very careful phrase “about 18 years old”, which sound a lot more legal than “underage”. We now know that Trump frequently called media outlets himself to get his version of a story out there. Very good odds this “source” was Trump himself.

why would TSF care about an underaged girl (who didn't have work papers) who worked at the spa going to work for another job?

I could understand some resentment if it had been a manager of Marl-A-Lago who oversaw operations of the property and the business. And even that could be allowed under Employment Law, save for a contract and/or a contract for non-competition.

But a girl doing a brainless job of replacing towels in a spa?

If you're going to lie, make it believable.

From handing out towels to going to work for Epstein is a stretch. Epstein’s businesses were:
1) Sex Trafficking
2) Blackmail and kompromat (see Putin)
3) Money laundering ….. just one of Epstein’s bank accounts had 1.1 billion in transfers
including deposits from Trump.
