Kristi Noem's Thugs Assaulted A Senator. NOW Will Democrats Treat Republicans Like The Nazi Filth They Are?

A few months back, in the very beginning of the new Trump reign of terror, we wrote a post that’s just really aged well, an exhortation to Democrats to Treat All Republicans As Nazi Collaborators Until Further Notice, By Which We Mean Forever. (That’s the headline, we didn’t come down with a sudden case of Donald Trump’s dementia illiterate randomly capitalizing words syndrome.)

Since then, the results have been, ahem, mixed. There are bright shining moments of resistance and rebellion and talking shit right to power’s face. And then there are moments where a bunch of Democrats vote to confirm Marco Rubio because he’s their buddy or Cory Booker votes to confirm Jared Kushner’s criminal dad or 75 OF THEM VOTE FOR A RESOLUTION THIS VERY WEEK TO SAY THANK YOU TO ICE FOR ALL THEIR HARD WORK.

To be fair, it was a Republican poison pill resolution, which also condemned antisemitism and the Boulder attack.

But to be fair to that, every one of those Democrats is capable of going on Insta Live and TikTok — where the virality happens! — and saying “So listen to what these child-stealing piss Nazi Republicans just did, they wrote a resolution that says we condemn antisemitism and the Boulder attacks AND we love ICE so much and want to marry them and get pregnant with their little ICE babies. And you know what? I didn’t vote for it because fuck ICE.”

Messaging, Democrats! It doesn’t come from focus groups! Or from up your asses!

Among other things, the events of this week have included 1), the indictment of a Democratic congresswoman, LaMonica McIver, on clownfuckingly bullshit charges of trying to do her congressional ICE oversight job while being a Black Democrat — oh, is it more legit than that, Alina Habba, or are we just faking smart again? — and also 2), yesterday’s incident, where Kristi Noem’s pig thug feds attacked, manhandled, tackled and cuffed UNITED STATES SENATOR Alex Padilla for trying to ask a question.

We wish we were confident that in light of those two attacks on their own colleagues Democrats would at last 100 percent rise to the occasion of understanding that the crisis is existential, that the United States really is in the process of falling, the midterms aren’t going to save you, the MAGA Nazi terrorists are currently winning, therefore holy fucking shit for God’s sake start treating every Republican in every situation like one of Bin Laden’s 19 hijackers, as opposed to a possible future friend.

Stop with the strongly worded letters. Stop with the constant milquetoast pivots to folksy canned statements about whether what Trump is doing is putting the eggs on the kitchen table.

Karen Bass said this is not the Kristi Noem I knew for 10 years.

The Democratic default setting is to look for those better angels. They’re in there somewhere. We just know it.

I've all but cut off being with one of my friends because of the family that moved in next door. Don't get me wrong... I like the family. Have known them for over 10 years. We've helped each other out time after time. But the wife "doesn't do politics" and the hubby (whom I"d always like and respected) came out as a true blue no-nothing libertarian who'll argue against doing what needs to be done for the right reasons for people in need. IOW, everyone for themselves. I can't live like that; I can't agree with the sentiment. And since the idiot came floating down that golden escalator in 2015, I've suffered enough PTSD under his reign, I no longer trust myself not to say something totally appropriate for me and like-minded believers, but totally inappropriate for everyone else. So, I just stay away. And still, I want to believe that this highly intelligent individual can finally grow up enough to understand that Ayn Rand needs to be left behind in the trash once one hits the age of at least 16.

that individual politicians representing people of a state have some role in responding to every fart made by the GOP? The Democratic Party should be vilified because of the GOP? In the meantime... how are you going to blame this on the Democrats? I so hope my representatives get their asses home as soon as possible. They're not safe anywhere.

Nebraska joins brief in support of Trump's use of Guard troops, Marines in California

ANDREW WEGLEY Lincoln Journal Star 32 mins ago

LINCOLN — Nebraska has waded into the legal battle between California and President Donald Trump over his administration’s deployment of federal troops to Los Angeles to protect immigration enforcement agents amid intense protests over Trump’s immigration crackdown.

The White House last week moved to take control of up to 4,000 California National Guard troops and mobilized 700 Marines in a rare use of military force on American soil that prompted California Gov. Gavin Newsom to sue the Trump administration Monday, asking a judge to return control of the state’s troops to Newsom.

In a Wednesday legal filing in the federal case, Nebraska joined 18 other Republican-led states seeking to file a brief in support of Trump’s order, arguing the deployment was “responsible, constitutional and authorized” by law.

And they're declaring a state of emergency because people want to protest. Damn Democrats.

What did we do between 2020 and 2022, when we had control of both houses of Congress and we could have brought the orange Nazi to trial and convicted him for inciting an insurrection, making him ineligible to run for office? We twiddled our thumbs, ho hummed, complained that pushing the issue through the incompetent Justice Department would have appeared political, and let Trump run the clock out with legal tactics only the rich can afford, making a mockery out of American justice, and out of the Democrats and the Biden administration.

We had the power. It would have required a little bit of risk taking, especially in ending the filibuster in the Senate in order to amend the Judiciary act and give Biden the opportunity to appoint five justices to the Supreme Court, hand picked, far left wing, anti-Trump idealogues, who would have rammed his trial through the courts in record time, saved Roe, overturned Citizens United and the ridiculous immunity ruling, and imposed self-policing ethics rules on the court that would have led to the resignations of the six corrupt Republican appointed justices.

But we didn't do it then. So what's the big deal about their security goons knocking a US Senator down for asking a question? Get used to it. No one wants to put a stop to it, or it would have happened already.

So when someone like David Hogg comes along, points to some of those ineffective, sissy, asleep at the wheel Democrats who wouldn't move their asses when they were needed, and says we need new leaders, I listen. He's right.
