Fed-up Republicans may soon 'punish' another Trump Cabinet member: report

Source: Raw Story

March 6, 2026 4:03PM ET

The firing of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem could spell problems for Attorney General Pam Bondi, whose future has come into question following President Donald Trump's decision to cut a member of his Cabinet after Republican lawmakers expressed concerns, Politico reported Friday.

Bondi has come under fire for her handling of the Epstein files, as congressional leaders have questioned her leadership of the Department of Justice over the last several weeks.

"As many as 20 Republicans might be prepared to back an effort to render punishment against the nation’s top prosecutor for slowwalking the materials’ release, according to the Democrat helping lead the charge," according to Politico.

The move comes as five Republicans sided with Democrats this week to subpoena Bondi, who will soon be forced to testify before a House committee.

She has read/seen All. The. Files.

I personally don't think there is any other fake job he can create/shift her into
unless its in a country with no extradition.

he could move her into the U.S. Attorney's position in D.C. and boot FAILIN' PIRRO into some other U.S. Attorney position - like Habba's old slot.

If they only knew what she - and 90% of Republicans - think of them.

as far as Shitler is concerned anyway. Good luck with that. AG Barbie isn't going anywhere. Nor is "Jeebs" Patel. They're doing their master's bidding. Noem became a liability. She began thinking it was about her, not of orange master.

Only one is gone, and even she is being kept around in a new position. (Which kind of surprises me, since she kinda threw Trump under the bus, which I would think would be unforgivable.)

Looking at both terms, he has not been at all reticent about getting rid of guys too.

And of course, some of the most significant players remain Susie Wiles, Karoline Leavitt, Tulsi Gabbard (though Tulsi's role has sometimes seemed tenuous).

I agree that Bondi is worth watching here because what she has in common with Noem is that Republican members of congress are turning against her.

11. No "difference" in their BEHAVIOR in their jobs

but a BIG difference on how 45 HANDLES that "behavior".

Keystone Kash has been almost as egregious as Ice Barbie in his waste, fraud, and abuse, but continues to be protected.

Gabbard was given a "task" after being shut out of actual "intelligence decisions" (in essence, a demotion), and who knows how long she will be there.

Then you have Lori Chavez-DeRemer (Dept. of Labor) currently going through a slow-motion bus trampling. And after this last "disastrous" (their famous word against Biden) set of economic reports, her days are numbered despite not having anything to do with the policies that have gotten us here.

Wiles is like Rhona Graff, the latter who was his executive assistant for decades, and like Wiles, was his "gatekeeper" (although Wiles was also the daughter of a famous sports and broadcasting star - Pat Summerall ).

We'll see what happens with Kash. I think it's a stretch to say gender is likely the reason he's got his job and Noem doesn't. You describe his actions as "almost" as egregious (so, not quite as much), but moreover, he hasn't testified to congress that Trump personally approved the things he did, which has been seen as the tipping point for Noem. For Trump, in the end, it's always about, "okay, but how does this affect ME?" I don't think gender plays much into that equation. It's not like he hasn't gotten rid of tons of men, too.

She was head of a Department that is in fact the BIGGEST one behind DOD (which itself is headed by the disgrace Kegsbreath). Patel is only the head of an agency. So she had access to WAY MORE $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ that could be flagrantly squandered for Waste. Fraud. Abuse.

And then there is the other ignored disgrace - RFK Jr. heading up HHS, who has had a fiasco of a revolving door of agency leaders (including CDC with multiples - all women, yet the loon Warlock of Oz remains at CMS).

I won't even get into what is happening with the female Fed Governor Lisa Cook.

He even gave her another job. (That hasn't typically been the case when he's gotten rid of people.)

And sure, she had access to more $$$ than Patel, but that doesn't change the fact that she wasted more money than he did. The person who steals $50k is going to get in more trouble than the person who steals $50, even if the only reason that the latter guy didn't steal more is that he didn't have the opportunity.

But all that ignores the main point of my comment, the part that came after the word "moreoever." In the end, it's not about what they do, it's about how what they do affects HIM. And *that's* where Noem really screwed up, that's what cost her the gig. Not the corruption itself.

His female selectees are generally carbon copies of each other, to the point where even the media has a term for it "Mar-a-Lago face".

Meaning more value is assigned to "looks" rather than to any "experience" or "potential". Thus they can more easily be "disposed of".

And as some may have forgotten, "Signal-gate" would have torpedoed any head of DOD, yet Kegsbreath remains to cause absolute havoc in the ranks and security risks for the nation.

But the piece de resistance is this - The architect of the failed and illegal tariffs, the convicted criminal Peter Navarro, is still there, despite costing his dear leader, HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS of ill-begotten gains. Similarly, the Commerce department head Howard Lutnik, implicated by the Epstein files, and working in tandem with Navarro, has received perfect cover treatment, with Congress only recently and reluctantly glancing his way.

These are things that have affected HIM (i.e., most particularly the tariffs loss), yet they are still there.

Trump personally advocated for tariffs. His ire about their being struck down is targeted at the supreme court justices who struck them down, not the advisors who were in sync with what he wanted them to say and do. That is nothing like Noem claiming that Trump personally approved her self-promoting expenditures.

As an aside, striking them down is not costing Trump (personally) "hundreds of billions of ill-begotten games." That money did not going into his pocket, nor will any refunds come out of his pocket. The amount of money the decision personally cost hm is zero.

No piece de resistance there to my mind!

There is no "there there" in his noggin. He does what whoever whispers in his ear and "sells to him" last, pushes for him to do. That includes the "Lindsey Graham Production" Bomb bomb bomb bombbomb Iran that is going on right now.

And when whoever he listens to and acts on then "fails", he will then claim that "he didn't know", or will claim "I don't know him/her".

And since he IS a grifter and user of taxpayer money for his OWN projects (with little or no oversight out of the GOP-controlled Congress), then he HAS "lost money 'personally'".

Que sera sera.
